BANNERS - The Basics
If you are going to be successful on the web, you need to get visitors to your web site, whether that site is one you own or is your affiliate site.
If you’ve spent any amount of time on the internet, you have seen more than a few banner ads. Any why so many banners you ask? Quite simply it is because Banner Advertising still works!
Banner advertising is simply promoting your business online using graphics (banners). You can find literally thousands of places online that offer banner advertising, some free and some fee-based.
Banner Advertising is for every business, both large and small. The only decision you need to make is whether to pay for it or not.
Can you afford to pay for banner advertising or should you participate in a banner exchange program?. You could even try one of the free programs first and see if it offers positive results. You’ll find lots of free sites by using the keywords “free banner exchange” on your favorite search engine.
BANNERS - The Insides
Text links are basically simple pieces of HTML code which instructs a web server to bring up a particular (your) web page when someone clicks on that piece of text. Here is an example of a text link: click here. Banner ads are essentially the same thing, except that the link is displayed as a graphic, usually a .jpg or a .gif. Here is an example of a banner link:
Although similar to graphical ads in printed publications such as magazines, banner ads have a distinct advantage because they have the ability to bring potential customers to your website.
Banners may come in several sizes with 486 x 60 pixels being the most popular size. They can be designed with one image (static) or with several images in succession (animated).

Banners can be created using a graphics program such as Paint Shop Pro or Corel Draw, just to name a few. Or you can search the internet for “banner creation” and find places that will let you design a banner for free.
BANNER ADVERTISING - The Problem
When I first started internet marketing I joined some affiliate programs and advertised everywhere I could find free advertising. I wasn’t able to do Banner Advertising as the affiliate programs wouldn’t allow its members to link to the banners on the main affiliate site.
I later signed up for free web hosting and built my first web site. But again, because it was free hosting, I still had the same problem. The owners of the servers didn’t allow us to link to banners on our own site (used up too much band width I guess). Sound familiar? So what can we do?
There are some sites that will host your banners for free. Just search the internet for “banner hosting” to find them. But beware, as with most ‘free stuff’ you get what you pay for!
BANNER ADVERTISING - The Solution
Now that I’m making money online, I decided that it was time to put some of it back into my business. I am using a professional web host (www.1and1.com) and have registered a domain name (www.mlmwonders.com).
I have also decided to use some of my web server space and bandwidth allocation to offer you a place to ‘park’ your banners at a cost that won’t send you running for cover but rather one that even the newest online marketers and affiliates can afford.
The next best thing to free would be to pay just pennies per day. Can you afford to pay just pennies per day to ensure your banner is available to advertise all over the web? Can you afford not to? A web site, whether your own or your affiliate gateway, will not make money without traffic.
You need targeted traffic to succeed. What better way to get that traffic than with YOUR banner advertising YOUR product or opportunity!!

Here’s How Easy It Is
Now that you’ve decided that banner advertising is what you need, simply pick the duration you want your banner hosted and click on the PayPal link to order. Please note that you do not need a PayPal account to make payments using PayPal, however, since the accounts are free you can get one by clicking on this PayPal link.
Immediately after processing your payment, you will be directed to an online form where you’ll enter your name and email address and advise me where I can retrieve the banner (either I will download it from the web or you can email it to me).
Providing I can retrieve the banner, and it is not too big (please try to keep it under 20kb and either .jpg or .gif format) I will have it hosted within 48 hours and I’ll email the linking code to you. Please ensure your email address is correct and available. The code will look something like the following:

(Note: the red text in the above code will be the URL where I will host the banner and the xxx will be the name I assign to the banner.)
You will need to provide that code to the owner of the web site where you will do your banner advertising. Too easy!
Here is a short example of what you would provide to the webmaster for advertising your “SFI” opportunity using a banner hosted on my site:
Dear Webmaster:
Thank you for the opportunity to advertise my program on your fine site. Please find below the html code for this banner advertisement:

Although PayPal is the preferred method of payment, you can also pay by check or International Money Order. You can then send me an email with the banner attached or tell me where I can retrieve it on the web. I will host it as soon as payment is received.
Once your banner is hosted, I guarantee it will be available for your use. If at any time it is not available, and the fault is with MLM Wonders, I will extend your hosting period to ensure you get at least the full period of time you ordered.
Following are the hosting terms offered at this time:
30 Days - $4.95 US Per Banner
(less than .17 cents per day!)
6 Months - $24.95 US Per Banner
(less than .14 cents per day!)
1 Year - $39.95 US Per Banner
(less than .11 cents per day!)

You can then email me at webmaster@mlmwonders.com and provide me with your name, email address and either attach the banner you want hosted or advise me where I can retrieve it on the web.
Regardless whether you use the online form or email me, please be specific about the details of where the banner is on the web so I do not retrieve the wrong one.
I will then email you with the code you will require for your banner advertising.
You will receive an email within the last two weeks of your hosting period to remind you to renew.
It is really that simple!!
