Warning - Do Not Post To FFA Sites!
Let Me Guess:
You've got a great product or service, and you've set up a great website. But you soon realize that it takes more than a dynamic website to make money on the internet. YOU NEED TRAFFIC! YOU NEED "HITS!" Lots and LOTS of hits! Now, you happen across an advertisement that reads something like…
"Put your ad on 17,241 websites for FREE!"
Sounds great, so you fill in a form, hit "enter," and Just Like That!…your ad is now showing up on thousands of other websites across the internet, promoting YOUR opportunity or product.
What you've done is to "post" your ad to what's called a "Free-For-All" (FFA) network page. In simple terms a "FFA network" is a network of websites where individuals, such as yourself, can place short classified ads in the form of a hyperlink to THEIR website. Each website in the FFA network is like a classified section in a newspaper - and you are submitting YOUR ad to them.
Now let me ask you this...
"What have your results been like?"
IF you're getting ANY hits at all, how many of them result in sales for YOUR product or service? If you're like most internet marketers, the answer is ZERO!
Quite frustrating, isn't it? All your time and effort amount to zero, zip, zilch! But WHY!? It all sounds so LOGICAL - your ad is literally on THOUSANDS of websites! Why ISN'T IT WORKING?
Well, take heart. You're not alone! You are finding out that posting your ad to the FFA sites just doesn't generate the huge amounts of traffic that you thought it would! BUT!…THERE IS HOPE!!!
YOU CAN MAKE IT WORK FOR YOU!
"You're wasting your time posting your ad to Free-For-All pages!"
When you post your ad to a Free-For-All site you get just ONE LINE (your headline, which becomes a hyperlink to your website) to describe your site. Now there are THREE problems with this:
Your one line ad is mixed in with HUNDREDS of other ads! So your ad is lost among all of those other ads. Just who is going to take the time to look through them all to find YOURS? NO ONE! But don't lose heart, you're not alone..."ALMOST NOBODY GOES TO THE FFA SITES ANYWAY!"
Even if there were a way to make your ad stand out among all those others on the FFA page, it wouldn't generate any more hits for you. Why? Because most of the ads posted on FFA sites are NOT manually submitted - in other words, internet marketers don't go to the FFA page to personally post their ads. In order to make the best use of their time, they use SUBMISSION SOFTWARE to "blast" their ad to thousands of FFA pages simultaneously--- without ever going to the FFA page, and most importantly--- WITHOUT EVER HAVING THE OPPORTUNITY OF SEEING YOUR AD!!!
YOUR AD MAY ONLY BE VISIBLE FOR A FEW HOURS! Obviously you want your ad posted to a popular FFA site. BUT!…the more popular the site is, the more people post to it, AND THE FASTER YOUR AD "FALLS OFF" THE LIST as newer ads are posted! On some very popular FFA sites your ad may only remain on the list for a matter of MINUTES! The bottom line is this:
"Even IF your ad were NOT among hundreds of other ads (which it is!), and even IF people actually WENT to the FFA site to post their ad (which they don't!), your ad would STILL only be visible for a matter of minutes or hours!"
Before automatic submission software and before there were thousands of FFA sites, posting to them DID work. But things move fast in the internet world! Today, posting to FFA pages simply gets you an e-mail box full of confirmation letters! And as you've noticed, each of these confirmation letters contains the sales message of "someone else."
That "someone else" is the person who HOSTS the FFA site.
So: "HOST, Don't Post!"
Now just why would you want to host an FFA page!?
I'm glad you asked!! When you host an FFA page, other people get to place THEIR ads all over YOUR page!
OK, sounds like more work for me!! (Not so!)
Here's how it works: Whenever someone posts a link (their ad) on your FFA site, they receive an automatic message from your autoresponder. This automatic message is the "confirmation message" to the person who posts the ad indicating that his ad has been placed on your site. And (this is the exciting part!), IT ALSO CONTAINS YOUR SALES MESSAGE!!
